Ingredients

½ free-range chicken leg

40g red dates (jujubes)

15g Dang Shen (Codonopsis root)

15g Fu Ling (Poria)

15g Bai Zhu (Atractylodes macrocephala)

5g Gan Cao (Licorice root)

Salt to taste
Instructions

Wash the chicken leg, chop it into 3cm pieces, blanch in hot water, then remove and rinse with clean water to wash away any blood and impurities.

Briefly rinse all the medicinal herbs with clean water. Place the herbs and the chicken pieces together in a rice cooker. Add 3 cups of water and cook until the switch pops up (or simmer in a pot until cooked).

Season with salt to taste before serving.
