Administration Method
Decoct the above ingredients in one and a half cups of water until the liquid is reduced by about a third. Take warm or cool.[2][3][4] (Modern usage: Decoct in water for oral administration.)
Functions
Primarily treats Stomach heat with Yin deficiency, manifesting as vexing heat and thirst, headache, toothache, bleeding gums, and a red tongue with a dry, yellow coating.[1][4][5] It is also used for conditions such as diabetes (Xiao Ke) and excessive appetite (polyphagia).
