Core Concept: Yin-Yang Balance
TCM believes that health relies on the harmony of Yin and Yang. Like a scale, if either side is deficient (Empty) or excessive (Full), body functions will become disordered. This report helps you understand your current body constitution.

I. Basic Constitution Indices
(Score out of 100. A lower score indicates a higher level of “Deficiency” or lack of energy/fluids.)

1. Yang Index: Represents Energy & Vitality

  • Status: A low score indicates Yang Deficiency. This means the body lacks sufficient metabolic heat and driving force.

  • Typical Symptoms:

    • Aversion to cold; cold hands and feet; wearing more clothes than others.

    • Lethargy; chronic fatigue; constant desire to sleep.

    • Poor digestion; loose stools; food passing through undigested.

2. Yin Index: Represents Nourishment & Fluids

  • Status: A low score indicates Yin Deficiency. This means the body lacks sufficient fluids, essence, and blood to cool and nourish itself.

  • Typical Symptoms:

    • “Five-center heat” (sensation of heat in palms, soles, and chest); irritability.

    • Dry mouth and throat; dry skin; dry eyes.

    • Poor sleep quality; vivid dreams; night sweats (sweating while asleep).

II. Pathological Risk Indices
(A higher score indicates a more severe condition and poorer health status.)

1. Dampness Index: Represents Accumulated Waste

  • Status: A high score indicates Heavy Dampness. This refers to the accumulation of heavy, turbid moisture or metabolic waste in the body.

  • Self-Check:

    • Feeling heavy in the head (as if wrapped in a cloth) or heavy limbs upon waking.

    • Sticky stools that are difficult to flush; loose or unformed stools.

    • Thick tongue coating; oily face; puffiness or edema.

2. Blood Stasis Index: Represents Circulation Obstruction

  • Status: A high score indicates Blood Stasis. This means blood flow is sluggish or blocked in the meridians.

  • Self-Check:

    • Fixed, stabbing pain in specific body parts; pain worsens with pressure.

    • Dull or dark complexion; purple or dark lips; dark circles under eyes.

    • Skin bruises easily; (for women) painful menstruation with clots.
