I. How to Read the Chart
This chart reflects the current energy strength/intensity of the Twelve Meridians in your body.
-
0 Scale Line (Balance Line):
The dotted line in the middle represents the “Balanced State.” The closer a bar is to the 0 line, the more peaceful and healthy that meridian’s energy is. -
Bar Direction and Values (Positive/Negative Meanings):
-
Upward (Positive +): Usually represents “Excess” or “Hyperactivity.” It indicates that the meridian’s energy is high, possibly due to excessive internal heat, high stress, or overactive functions (e.g., the Liver Meridian shown as positive in the chart).
-
Downward (Negative -): Usually represents “Deficiency” or “Insufficiency.” It indicates that the meridian’s energy is low, possibly due to fatigue, slowed metabolism, or poor blood supply (e.g., the Bladder and Lung Meridians shown as negative in the chart).
-
-
Bar Length (Severity):
The longer the bar (the larger the absolute value), the further it deviates from the balance line, indicating that the sub-health issues in that meridian are more significant.
II. Why Do Values Fluctuate?
(Must-Read Before Measurement)
The body’s Qi (energy) and blood are not static; they change constantly like tides. Therefore, fluctuations in measurement results are a normal physiological phenomenon.
1. Varying Sensitivity of Meridians:
-
Larger Variation: The Kidney and Bladder Meridians are related to water metabolism and vitality. They are significantly affected by recent water intake, excretion, or changes in body posture, leading to obvious value fluctuations.
-
Smaller Variation: The Spleen and Lung Meridians mainly govern basic digestion and respiration functions, so their values are usually relatively stable.
2. Normal Deviation Range:
For consecutive measurements within a short time, provided that heart rate fluctuation is low (stable mood, no strenuous exercise), a deviation within ±10% is considered a normal range of technical and physiological error.
