Risk Assessment Guide
Core Concept: Preventive Healthcare
This assessment identifies potential health trends based on the TCM principle of “treating disease before it arises.” It analyzes your body’s Yin-Yang balance, Qi-Blood circulation, and organ energy to predict functional vulnerabilities before they become clinical diseases.
I. Understanding the Risk Categories
Risks arise when your body’s foundation (Yin/Yang) is unbalanced and pathological factors (Dampness/Stasis) accumulate.
1. Cardiovascular Health (Heart/BP/Lipids/Sugar/Brain)
-
TCM View: Often related to Blood Stasis (poor circulation) and Phlegm-Dampness (metabolic waste).
-
Cause: When Qi is too weak to move blood, or waste accumulates, circulation slows down, creating risks for blood pressure and heart health.
2. Mental & Energy State (Anxiety/Depression/Sleep/Fatigue)
-
TCM View: Stems from Yin-Yang Imbalance and Stagnation of Liver Qi.
-
Cause: Yang deficiency leads to chronic fatigue; Yin deficiency leads to restlessness (anxiety/insomnia); blocked energy flow affects mood regulation.
3. Digestion & Immunity (Stomach/Pharyngitis/Kidney/Immunity)
-
TCM View: Reflects the strength of the Spleen and Kidney.
-
Cause: The Spleen governs digestion and energy production. Weakness here leads to poor immunity and inflammation. The Kidney governs the body’s constitution.
4. Musculoskeletal Health (Cervical/Spine)
-
TCM View: Connected to Meridian Blockage and Kidney Essence (which governs bones).
-
Cause: Poor blood flow fails to nourish tendons and bones, or cold/dampness causes stiffness and misalignment in the spine.
II. Risk Level Interpretation
-
Normal: Body functions and energy flow are stable.
-
Low/Medium Risk: Indicates a “Sub-health” status. Your body is showing early warning signs of functional decline or energy blockage. Lifestyle adjustments (diet, sleep, therapy) are recommended to prevent progression.
