  • Using the pad of your thumb, press and move from the root of the little finger, across the small transverse crease of the palm and the Xiao Tian Xin point, stopping at the Nei Lao Gong point. Repeat this movement 10 to 30 times. This can clear deficiency-heat from the Heart and Kidney meridians.

  • Pressing the Lidui (ST45) acupoint can be very painful, so use slightly less force. Persist in pressing the points on both the left and right sides 60 times each. Do this every morning and evening on both sides, point-pressing each of the two acupoints 60 times.

  • Every day before sleep, sit on the edge of the bed with your feet hanging down and loosen your clothing. Hold your breath, press your tongue against the upper palate, and gaze towards the crown of your head. Rub the Shenshu (BL23) acupoints on both sides of your lower back with both hands for 10 to 15 minutes each time. Additionally, when you take a walk daily, make empty fists with both hands and strike the Shenshu (BL23) acupoints as you walk, 30 to 50 times on each occasion. This can increase blood flow to the kidneys and improve kidney function.
